David 'Trey' Miller - 6'6 Forward/Wing - Green Run High School
David "Trey" Miller is a 6-foot-6 forward who plays with a ton of energy around the rim on both ends of the floor for Green Run High School.
David “Trey” Miller is a name to get to know in Virginia’s 2025 class out of Green Run High given his development this past grassroots cycle with Team Loaded 757. He’s due for a strong junior season on the VHSL stage after showcasing his abilities on the grassroots scene this past spring/summer.
Miller is a fluid 6-foot-6 forward prospect who’s shown he isn’t afraid to play a physical brand of basketball and utilize his size/athleticism to make his presence felt on the floor. He does a tremendous job of filling the lane and making himself available when running the floor and has shown he can finish with ease around the rim and in traffic. He doesn’t get sped up by pressure and does well to take what the defense gives him, whether it’s a shot in the high post or a three from the top of the key. He does well to move without the ball to be a consistent option in the rotation.
Defensively, he flies around virtually out of nowhere, showing he can alter shots without fouling and turn rebounds into fastbreak opportunities on the other end. He’s a flash of energy with his motor and efforts on the hardwood. He does well to turn defensive rebounds into fastbreak chances in a heartbeat with his ability to handle the ball in space and make things happen.
As he continues to develop his all-around game and get stronger in the weight room, he should emerge as an intriguing wing-forward prospect in VA’s 2025 class before it’s all said and done. Youngstown State and Ohio University have offered him so far. Look for him to boost the Stallions entering his junior season after they went 14-15 and finished 8-9 in the Beach region in 2022-23.
