FILM REVIEW: 6'9 Forward Rivers Knight - Boo Williams EYBL
Take an in-depth look at big man Rivers Knight and his latest film breakdown from EYBL Session II in Atlanta.
6-foot-9 big man Rivers Knight has seen his stock grow a ton over the past few seasons out of Combine Academy in the 2026 class. He’s one of a few names who’s seen their stock grow on the national stage this past season.
Knight has already drawn offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State and VCU among others given what he can do on the hardwood. He made quite the splash with Boo Williams on the EYBL stage this past weekend at Lakepoint Sports Complex in the Atlanta metro area in Session II. He walked away with production of 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest on 9-of-14 (63%) shooting from deep and 16-of-27 (59.3%) shooting from the floor.
His best outing of the weekend easily came against Rotary Rebels (WA) when he dropped 23 points and eight rebounds on 9-of-15 (60%) shooting from the floor and 4-of-7 (57.1%) shooting from 3-point land. As he gets more acclimated with a group that already features 2026 top prospects Kobe Edwards and Michael Phillips II in the backcourt and Will Stevens in the frontcourt. Knight and Stevens have proven to be a formidable force after going 3-1 this past weekend, taking their only loss to last year’s defending Peach Jam Champions in Teamp CP3.
He’s a 6-foot-9 versatile forward who is always in constant motion when on the floor, whether operating with or without the ball in his hands. He’s not afraid to act as many different options on the floor whether as a perimeter threat shooting the ball or as a presence rebounding the ball and attacking the paint.
He’s shown tremendous development on the OTE stage with Combine Academy which has translated well into his age group on the EYBL stage. He’s mobile and strong and it’s showing as he’s gotten a lot more confident in shooting the basketball on the perimeter as evidenced in his efficiency this past weekend. He knows how to be an effective presence in any frontcourt given his size and skill set, whether as the roll or the pop option.
He isn’t afraid to mix it up defensively as a shot-blocker and disruptor. He had a few nice blocks in the painted area and beyond while showcasing his aggression on the defensive front.
Don’t be surprised to see his recruitment grow over the next few months in the 2026 class. He was ranked the No. 5 prospect in the state and the 15th-ranked center recently by ESPN in their latest Top 60 update for the class.
