Khalil Caple - 6'4 Guard/Wing - Norfolk Collegiate School

Khalil Caple is a sizeable guard prospect who continues to progress in his development heading into his junior season with Norfolk Collegiate School.

Khalil Caple is an emerging wing/guard prospect to get to know out of Norfolk Collegiate School in Virginia’s 2025 class. He’s a “big guard” prototype who’s shown he can be used in a variety of ways given his length and motor on the hardwood. He’s can operate at either guard role given his knack for shooting the ball in the mid-range and on the perimeter while still maintaining his ability to get others involved.

He does well to make his presence felt even when the ball isn’t in his hands, working to find spots to force turnovers and battling in the painted area for rebounds.

The 6-foot-4 guard produced 7.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 1.7 APG and 1.3 SPG as a sophomore in a talented rotation of college prospects as they went 22-11 on the year and 6-3 in the VISAA Division II before falling to Miller School in the VISAA Div 2 State Tournament Quarterfinal. They’re a well-balanced group who all are finding their roles on the hardwood and it’s showing in the uptick in Caple’s recruitment.

Caple is a gritty prospect who plays with an observable toughness and confidence on both ends of the floor. He does well to operate in spots for easy buckets and does well to work alongside others in the rotation to make things happen. He’ll be a solid force alongside ‘25 wing/forward Justin Burrough in the Norfolk Collegiate School lineup in 2023-24. He holds an offer from Elizabeth City State so far.

He’s a two-way presence who can lock down the opposing team’s best players while still maintaining his abilities to be a force on the offensive end. Given the slew of talent on their roster this season, look for Caple to emerge as one of a few names to know out of the Gotham Prospects Database.
