P.J. James - 6' Point Guard - Bridgeport Prep

With a long wingspan and an intriguing skillset, P.J. James is a budding name to get to know at Bridgeport Prep this season in the 2024 class.

P.J. James is an emerging point guard prospect to get to know at Bridgeport Prep in the state of Connecticut’s 2024 class heading into the 2023-24 season. James had himself a busy grassroots season with WE R 1 on the Under Armour circuit as he finished third in steals and showed off his ability to run the point guard spot. He’s got a nice blend of quickness and strength that he utilizes well to run the show for his respective squads.

James does well to push the pace with his ballhandling and has a high IQ for making things happen with a smooth balance of scoring and distributing which typically leads to success. He’s a name who continues to draw interest from mid-major programs heading into a post-graduate year.

He’s a lengthy 6-foot floor general with a 6-foot-6 wingspan who’s shown he can play a lot bigger than his listed height given his playmaking ability off the bounce. He’s got a nice blend of athleticism and confidence as a finisher in the painted area and shot maker in space. He’s got a nice shot in the midrange area and has shown he can finish in traffic in the paint. He has a nice feel for when to score and when to find others for easy buckets. He does well to create pressure defensively on and off the ball to create turnovers and become an instant offensive threat in the open floor.

Look for his recruitment to grow on the post-grad scene with offers from a few LM DI programs already.
