Sam Quebedeaux - 6'0 PG - The Burlington School

Sam Quebedeaux has a bright future ahead of him at The Burlington School. He's a Gotham Prospect to keep eyes on in the state of North Carolina's 2026 class.

Gotham Prospects welcomes Sam Quebedeaux to the database out of The Burlington School in North Carolina. He’s a dynamic 6-foot point guard who’s learning to expand his all-around game as a shooter and playmaker entering his sophomore season. He’s taken on the task of joining at top squad in the state as he looks to develop his game.

Quebedeaux put his name on the map right away following a strong varsity debut with Epiphany School in 2022-23. He showed he could score the ball in a variety of ways right away, posting 20.6 points per contest along with 2.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. He shot the ball at volume as a freshman for the Falcons, though they finished with an 8-15 record, they faced some stiff competition. As a freshman, Quebedeaux knocked down 31 3-pointers and shot 39 percent from the floor as the lone option. On a roster with more pieces, he’s learning to become a more complete player.

This season, things have been a whole lot different as Quebedeaux changes destinations on the NCISAA stage. The Burlington School Spartans have won the last three NCISAA 2A State Titles including last year under first-year head coach George Marshall. The Spartans are 16-7 this season riding a 61-55 victory over Quality Education Academy into the holiday weekend. They’ll face Northside Christian Academy this afternoon and given their depth at the guard spot, Quebedeaux could see some time.

He’s appeared in just six games so far, given he was only recently eligible to play this past December, and averaging 2.5 points per game. But he’s also getting reps with the junior varsity squad, where he’s also excelling and continuing to polish his skills as a creator off the bounce for himself and others. On the JV scene, he’s produced 22.0 points per contest across four appearances. He knocked down 31 points in his debut with the Spartans JV squad.

In the meantime, he’s learning from Mount St. Mary’s signee Zion Walker, junior guard Cam Flippen and senior Jordan Durham on the varsity stage. Walker leads the team in scoring with 21.4 points per game. Durham leads the team in assists at 3.2 per game. Flippen has grown in his junior season, posting 9.0 points, 2.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game. And he’ll also have freshman King Gibson alongside him when his time comes in the rotation. Gibson is averaging 9.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest off the bench this season.

Given their continued depth at the guard spot and Quebedeaux’s continued growth, it looks like it could be a match well made over the next few seasons when it’s Quebedeaux’s time. He’s continued to get stronger in the weight room and improve his game in the meantime. He’s a name to keep an eye on in North Carolina’s 2026 class.
