Sean O'Conner - 6'5 Hybrid Forward - Hampton Christian Academy
Sean O'Conner is a hybrid forward who can operate inside and out with his perimeter game and underrated footwork out of Hampton Christian in the 2024 class in Virginia.
Sean O’Conner enters with Hampton Christian Academy to emerge as one of the top-scoring producers in the 757 area heading into the 2023-24 season. He’s a 6-foot-5 strong-framed hybrid forward due to turn some heads as he continues to emerge as a D2/D3/NAIA prospect out of the state of Virginia’s 2024 class. He was a key contributor for the Warriors this past season as they went 23-12 and 13-1 in VISAA Division IV. They fell by 5 points in the VISAA Division 4 State Tournament Championship this past season.
O’Conner returns as the Warriors’ top leading scorer from a season ago after producing 16.2 PPG, 4.1 RPG and 1.3 SPG on 53 percent shooting from the floor and 40 percent (21/53 3-PT FG) from deep. He’ll look to lead the way with 2026 prospect Falcon Green in tow after he gained experience on the varsity stage as a freshman. He’ll be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder after falling a bit short in last year’s title game.
O’Conner has a nice blend of both forward spots in his skill set with his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter and utilize his frame to operate in the painted area for buckets. He plays a physically imposing style on the interior and just when defenders think they’ve figured him out, he’s stepping out on the perimeter and knocking down shots from behind the arc and in the midrange. He’s a forward with underrated footwork and mobility heading into his final year of high school ball.
Look for O’Conner to do a whole lot more for Hampton Christian this season as they look to continue their winning ways in VISAA Division IV play.
