Wes Gobble - 6'3 Guard/Wing - Albemarle High School

Wes Gobble is a sharpshooting guard/wing joining Albemarle High School with room to grow in Virginia’s 2024 class heading into the 2023-24 season. He’s a prospect with 3-and-D potential given his ability to get hot from deep in a hurry and operate off the bounce as a creator and scorer.

Gobble has impressive range with his shooting ability and a ton of confidence shooting the ball without hesitation heading into his senior season with Albemarle High. The Patriots went 22-5 this past season and 13-1 in the Jefferson region before falling in the VHSL Class 5 Region D Quarterfinals this past season. He’ll be a new face in the Patriots rotation looking to give them a better result in 2023-24. He was a 2023 All-Jefferson District selection in the region in 2022-23.

He’s got nice length at 6-foot-3 that he utilizes well to create space for himself on the perimeter and in the open floor to make things happen in the backcourt. He’s also not afraid to operate off the bounce and make things happen off the bounce with his underrated shiftiness.

Gobble continues to show off his development shooting the basketball and continues to emerge as a playmaker and finisher in traffic and in the midrange. He’s already drawn interest from a number of programs across all divisions heading into the final year of his school career. Look for his recruitment to grow during the 2023-24 season as he shows off his growth on the hardwood.
